When it comes to music, the Caribbean music are usually lively, fast, explosive and joyful even though each island has it's own rhythm and style. Their music describes the islands through how each music is different through the 24 nations, but how their tropical lively music matches their surroundings.

Music is really important to Caribbeans. They will use music for events like protests or fun carnivals. Over the year each island has numerous festivals such as January has up to 7 nations having festivals like the Babardo music awards, Jamaican jazz and blues and the bmobile soca spree. Percussion instruments are very popular because the African slave and European, Spanish influences.

A famous artist that had come out of the Caribbean is the Jamaican Bob Marley. His songs were very popular in America spreading the message of equality, anti-racism and freedom with a reggae genre of music. Along with Bob Marley, others who migrated from the Caribbean spreading reggae and the other tropical island music.
